What does it mean to be a Buckeye:
When I think of being a Buckeye, I hear the words, “How firm thy friendship, O-HI-O.” This friendship is deeply rooted in our love of the tradition, spirit, diversity and pride that comes with being a Buckeye. The lifelong memories that we create with our friends, professors, advisors and individual colleges all help to make each of us who we are today, and they shape who we will be tomorrow. Being a Buckeye is a lifestyle; an accumulation of all that we have learned, an understanding of how we have grown into the people that we are, and an appreciation for the friendships that we will take with us throughout our lives.
