  • What does it mean to be a Buckeye:

Being a Buckeye is like being in a not-so-secret-society. People recognize our Block O internationally, but only those who are inducted into the elite group understand its importance. Over time, membership requirements have become more rigid, only making the “society” even more prestigious. The acceptance fee is our lifetime membership card; once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. We have a not-so-secret greeting of calling “O-H!” only to be responded by members with “I-O!” Columbus is our Mecca and the Shoe is our meeting place. The unique experiences at OSU might only happen once, but the friendships and traditions are everlasting.
