it that explores the history of structural racism caused by the 1938 redl
ining maps and how this inequality continues to impact our communities to
day\, focusing on the ways in which we can come together to &ldquo\;undes
ign&rdquo\; these systems with intentionality. \;\nSystemic challenge
s today\, like inequalities in housing\, education\, income\, criminal ju
stice\, and health are far from separate issues. These challenges are roo
ted in a deep and entangled history of policies\, practices\, and process
es that remain hidden and misunderstood. \; \;\nUndesign the Redl
ine explores these challenges\, reframes them as opportunities\, and grou
nds discussions about race\, wealth\, opportunity\, and power in an hones
t context that is not about guilt and blame. \; \;\nThis allows e
veryone to contribute value to the design and development of new projects
\, partnerships\, and decisions that seek to transform communities and mo
ve beyond the challenging &ndash\; and often clouded &ndash\; situation o
f our entangled past. \;\nThe Undesign the Redline exhibit travels na
tionally to cities\, towns\, and communities. It has been localized for C
olumbus by a \;committee of local experts \;and historians\, and
it will be here for the next several \;months \;so that we can le
arn together\, activate\, and mobilize into a strong &ldquo\;we&rdquo\; c
apable of transformation. \;\nViewable at the Frank W. Hale\, Jr. Bla
ck Cultural Center during regular business hours 9am-6pm Monday-Friday an
