What does it mean to be a Buckeye:
At Ohio State, we encouraged to take advantage of every opportunity, to gain experiences and apply them to bettering ourselves. On the flip side, we are taught to prioritize service to others, whether on campus or in our communities. The juxtaposition of those ideas is what makes a Buckeye. We have a drive to go against the grain, while working to serve those around us. It makes us unique, and only makes us stronger when we embrace the identities and stories of others and empower them to use their voices as well. In doing so, we weave one another into the fabric of our scarlet-and-grey home, as Buckeyes are rooted in the belief of collaboration and community, where we all can take pride in “how firm they friendship…O-HI-O”.
