114th Annual Homecoming Celebration
The Ohio State Homecoming Parade is one of Ohio State's biggest and longest-running traditions. Student organization banners, floats, colleges, departments, community organizations, and local celebrities are all a part of this great tradition. Students, Alumni, Ohio State Family and Friends are all invited to attend!
It is with great pride we are announcing Maudine Ormsby, the 1926 Homecoming Queen as the Grand Marshal. 100 years ago, Maudine was crowned Homecoming Queen by her Ohio State peers. To read more about Maudine, click here.
The Parade will begin with step off on Cannon Drive on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 6 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming Parade has a new route! Due to construction on College Road, this year’s parade will begin at the corner of Cannon Drive and John Herrick Dr. It will proceed southbound on Cannon Drive, turning just south of the new University Hospital, and proceeding on Neil Ave. to 12th Avenue. The parade will end at the Ohio Union. This is an exciting opportunity to highlight and engage a new area of campus as we celebrate Homecoming 2026.
Traffic and Parking
We suggest you park in Neil Avenue or the 11th Avenue Garage.
Roads Closures, CABS and Parking Impacts on Friday, October 9
The Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 9 from approximately 5:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Due to College Road construction, the parade will follow a modified route through the Wexner Medical Center. Multiple road closures, CABS service changes and parking impacts will occur. Travel delays are anticipated.
