2026 Parade Route

This year’s Homecoming Parade has a new route. Due to construction on College Road, this year’s parade will begin at the corner of Cannon Drive and John Herrick Dr. It will proceed southbound on Cannon Drive, turning just south of the new University Hospital, and proceeding on Neil Ave. to 12th Avenue. The parade will end at the Ohio Union. This is an exciting opportunity to highlight and engage a new area of campus as we celebrate Homecoming 2026.

Homecoming Parade: Parking & Traffic Impacts – October 9
Ohio State's Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 9, bringing an alternate parade route and temporary changes to traffic patterns across campus. 

Drivers traveling near the parade route should plan ahead, allow additional time, and follow posted signage and directions from law enforcement and traffic control personnel. 

Parking Impacts 

Several parking facilities will have modified traffic patterns during the parade. 

• Neil Avenue Garage: Vehicles exiting the garage may travel west on John H. Herrick Drive. Traffic control personnel will assist drivers through affected intersections, including Cannon Drive 

• 12th Avenue Garage: Vehicles may exit west on John H. Herrick Drive. Drivers exiting toward 12th Avenue should follow posted signage and traffic control directions 

• Mid-Tower Lot: The lot will be captured beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 9 

• Lincoln Lot: The lot will be captured beginning at 12:01 a.m. Friday, October 9 

Vehicles remaining in Mid-Tower and Lincoln lots are subject to relocation at the owner’s expense.
