Office of Student Life : Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

Homecoming Court

Court members are chosen based on their leadership qualities, spirit, integrity, and achievement through their contributions and involvement at Ohio State. The Court selection process begins with a paper application. Based on application scores and GPA, individual interviews are offered and conducted by OSU faculty, staff, and alumni. The scores from the paper application and interview are combined to determine the 2018 Homecoming Court members.  Court members then volunteer and serve as ambassadors during Welcome Week and Homecoming Week, and after a student body vote, the Homecoming Queen and King are announced at the Homecoming Game on October 6, 2018.

2018 Homecoming Court Applications are due March 1st.

  • What does it mean to be a Buckeye:

“His big uncle and his little uncle are both his uncles.” Being a Buckeye for the past three years has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of this old Chinese saying. We are all born free and equal. We are worth the same and have the same rights as anyone else. Yet we are all different in terms of backgrounds, beliefs and perspectives. The true Buckeye spirit is to respect each individual and to embrace the diversity.
